Strongly recommended for all other projects <br />Application Submittal <br />DAC (Development Advisory Staff Representatives of various County <br />Committee) departments and other agencies, as needed <br />I <br />Review /Comments <br />MThe Planning Board would make its <br />recommendation based on the technical <br />Planning Board merits of the application, prior to the public <br />Recommendation hearing. <br />(Note that this is the general process the <br />Towns of Chapel Hill and Carrboro follow). <br />Publish Legal Ad / Mail <br />Notifications for Public The BOCC would not approve the legal ad in <br />Hearing this process. <br />(It should be noted that dropping the action <br />of having the BOCC approve the legal ad <br />could save approximately 3 weeks in the <br />existing process) <br />Public Hearing <br />(BOCC only) The public hearing could be held at any <br />BOCC regular meeting <br />OR <br />The process could be written so that <br />rezoning /Class A SUP applications could be <br />heard only at one of the BOCC meetings per <br />BOCC Decision month (such as the one held in Hillsborough) <br />
