RATIONALE <br />1. Purpose /Mission <br />The Eno Economic Development District (EDD) Area Small Area Plan (June 24, <br />2008; Amended February 3, 2009) recommended the approval of an access <br />management program for US 70 and Old Highway 10 (as described in the Plan) to <br />provide better transportation systems and capacities as development proceeds in the <br />area. Additionally, the 1 -85 /US 70 interchange is under re- design by the North <br />Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). <br />3 <br />
