The petitions and responses are <br />listed below: <br />1) Based on a request by Commissioner Gordon, draft a letter from the Chair to Orange <br />County's legislative delegation with information from the NCACC outlining impacts of <br />proposed tax legislation on Orange County. <br />Response: BOCC Chair wrote a letter in June to Orange County's legislative delegation <br />incorporating the requested NCACC information. <br />2) Review and consider request by Commissioner Price to consider a resolution at the first <br />meeting in September recognizing the Northern Orange Education Task Force. <br />Response: This item will be considered at the September 5, 2013 Board meeting. <br />3) Review and consider request by Commissioner Price that the Board consider a resolution re- <br />establishing a Women's Commission as part of the Economic Development Department. <br />Response: This petition will be discussed at a work session in fall 2013. <br />This letter will be provided as an Information Item on the September 5, 2013 agenda <br />for public information. <br />Best, <br />Barry Jacobs, Chair <br />Board of County Commissioners <br />www.co.oran_qe.nc.0 s <br />Protecting and preserving — People, Resources, Quality of Life <br />Orange County, North Carolina — You Count! <br />(919) 245 -2130 • FAX (919) 644 -0246 <br />
