17 <br />EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE PROGRAM (EAP) <br />Magellan Behavioral Health provides the County's EAP for County employees and their <br />dependents. The EAP provides confidential assessment and counseling services, 24/7 <br />emergency services, and legal consultation. It also serves as a complement to services <br />provided through the County Health Plan at no cost to employees or their dependents. <br />The current contract ends December 31, 2013. The County has budgeted $15,500 for the <br />Employee Assistance Program in Fiscal Year 2013 -14. <br />As part of its health insurance plans, United Healthcare provides an employee assistance <br />program, Care 24 ® as part of the premium and the administrative fee if the County is self - <br />insured Services consist of three counseling sessions, legal and financial telephone <br />consultations, and six hours of employee training programs. Care 24 ® services are only <br />available to employees enrolled in the United Healthcare plans. <br />A -15 <br />
