2 <br /> The purpose of the local CFPT is threefold: <br /> • to promote understanding of the causes of childhood deaths, <br /> • to identify deficiencies in the delivery of services to children and families by <br /> public agencies, and <br /> • to make and carry out recommendations for changes that will prevent <br /> future child deaths. <br /> Two members of the local Orange County CFPT will present the report. They are Dr. <br /> Butch Huston of the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for North Carolina and <br /> Gretchen Aylsworth, Director of the Guardian Ad Litem Program for Orange and <br /> Chatham counties. <br /> Recommendation: To receive as information. <br />
