Exhibit A—Scope of Services-Fiscal Year 2013-14 <br /> Orange County Outside Agency Performance Agreement Certification <br /> Funded Amount: $ 76,000 <br /> Agency. Dispute Settlement Center <br /> Agency Mission: To promote and bring about the peaceful settlement of disputes and prevent the escalation <br /> of conflict through mediation, conciliation,facilitation, and training. <br /> Program: Mediation for Orange County Citizens referred from Criminal District Court, and for families, <br /> neighbors and others self-referred; and for separating couples on a sliding scale basis. <br /> Purpose: To help Orange County residents resolve interpersonal disputes with the help of trained <br /> neutrals. In Orange County Criminal District Court, mediation keeps cases moving <br /> efficiently through the system while offering citizens opportunity for face-to-face problem <br /> solving which encourages more lasting resolutions. Other citizens may bring their disputes <br /> directly to the Center for resolution. <br /> Outcomes: We expect to work with 250 clients in community mediation.
