Exhibit A—Scope of Services—Fiscal Year 2013-14 <br /> Orange County Outside Agency Performance Agreement Certification <br /> Funded Amount: $ 102,000 <br /> Agency: Communities In Schools of Orange County, Inc. (CISOC) <br /> Agency Mission: Communities In Schools of Orange, Inc., surrounds students with a community of support, <br /> empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. <br /> Program: Program 1-CIS After 3 will serve(280)students across 7 Orange County middle school <br /> sites who have been identified as achieving only a 1 or 2 on end-of-grade tests(EOGs). <br /> Purpose: CIS After 3's and MSAS' purpose is to ensure that students do not drop-out of school due <br /> to lack of educational barriers, developmental support and guidance. Program 1 (CIS After <br /> 3)will use 3 modules(sustainable energy, creative arts, and civics)to improve students' <br /> critical thinking skills that will ultimately effect better report card grades, improved EOGs, <br /> and improved school behaviors. <br /> Outcomes: Program 1-60%of CIS AFter 3 participants will demonstrate some aspect of improvement <br /> in areas of academic achievement(report card grades and/or EOG test scores)and school <br /> behaviors(decreased suspensions). <br /> Budget for Orange County Funding: <br /> Category Amount Expense Description <br /> Personnel $95,000 Salaries for ED and after school program staff <br /> Operations $7,000 Percentage of a manadory audit to receive federal US Dept of Ed.
