Where is she? Why isn't she home? With the help of Dog, Cat, and <br /> Hen, Baby Bird sets out in search of Mother Bird in this colorful musical adventure based on <br /> P.D. Eastman's whimsical and well-loved picture book. <br /> APRIL: <br /> April 8-9: in-school shows by Doktor Kaboom! (4th-8th) <br /> Tues.. Apr. 8: School Shows at The ArtsCenter <br /> Look Out, Science is Coming! (4th-8th): Doktor Kaboom! is an original, interactive one-man <br /> Science variety show suitable for all audiences. The creation of Actor/Comedian David Epley, <br /> Doktor Kaboom! creatively blends theatre arts with the wonders of scientific exploration. <br /> Doktor Kaboom! takes his audience on an amazing educational tour of the modern scientific <br /> method, using humor and comedy while demonstrating spectacular applications of the physical <br /> sciences. Doktor Kaboom! keeps his crowds riveted with interest and rolling with laughter.Join <br /> Kaboom! for a sidesplitting journey of increasingly spectacular (and often successful) science <br /> experiments designed to involve, excite, educate, and entertain. <br /> Wed., April 16:Junie B.Jones by Theatreworks USA (K-5th) —School Shows at The ArtsCenter <br /> A musical based on the popular series Junie B Jones, filled with lots of humor and adventures as <br /> Junie B. navigates the world of I st grade. <br /> April 28-29: in-school shows by Billy Jonas <br /> Tues., Apr. 29: School Show at The ArtsCenter <br /> Everybody's In the Band! (K-5th): NC-based musician Billy Jonas gets kids to make music! Concerts <br /> include sing-a-longs, bang-a-longs, and an improvised song with audience suggestions. <br /> Instruments include voices, guitar and homemade, recyclable, object instruments. This show <br /> proves to each and every participant that they are indeed a musician. Themes include ecological <br /> awareness, community connection, and various curriculum-related songs. Bringing Billy in late <br /> April enhances Earth Day celebrations (Earth Day is Apr. 22) and focus on environmental <br /> awareness (he uses found objects and re-uses materials in his instruments). His high-energy <br /> show would be a fun way to end the year too. <br />
