You can hang out for awhile and check out one
venue and if the kids are bored move along to somewhere else. Have you seen the website
— 2012 CARRBORO MUSIC FESTIVAL ? They have a list of the performers and venues.
I don't know if there are any kid-centric bands playing, but there are many great acoustic
acts (as well as amplified loud rock-n-roll) and there's sure to be dancing on the lawn at
Weaver Street.
There's info on bus routes on the website, but you can also park at Carrboro Plaza Shopping
Center (with Food Lion and State Employees Credit Union) and ride the shuttle. Here's info
on that:
Quote:
The quickest and easiest way to gat to the 2112 Carrboro Music Festival is to catch the
FREE Music Festival Shuttle. The shuttle, operated by Chapel Hill Transit (CHT); will be
providing service from the Carrboro Plaza Park!& Ride (Highway NC 54 and Old Fayetteville
Road) to the Carrboro Music Festival, from noon until 9 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 30.
Rate this Post positively
n0 kudZU 13,391 posts, read 6,878,964 tunes
Reputation: 15769
You can pretty much bet anything sponsored by official Carrboro is going to be kid and family
oriented and friendly.
Pate this post positively
Location::Downtown Durham, NC
peperoberto 907 posts, read 640,893 times
Reputation, 674
Definitely family friendly. I haven't been for 3 years, but beware that parking is going to be a
bit difficult so don't expect to get "in and out" quick. Just be prepared to spend a whole day
and you'll be fine. Also, pack some snacks and water, as every restaurant is going to be
jammed.
Rate this past positively
