4 <br /> 10/27/97 <br /> • September 18, 1997 -Landfill Owners' Group/Landfill Neighbors Working Group <br /> completed list of fourteen points of community benefits it recommends that local <br /> governments approve for the neighborhoods in the vicinity of the Eubanks Road <br /> Landfill. This culminated a series of facilitated community meetings begun in June <br /> 1997. <br /> • October 6, 1997 -Regular Board of County Commissioner's meeting. Board <br /> discussed Solid Waste Management issues including December 1, 1997 deadline; <br /> Community benefits; public hearing site selection; Greene Tract discussions. <br /> • October 20, 1997 -In report prepared by Hazen and Sawyer, OWASA provides cost <br /> estimates (approximately $10.5 million) for water and sewer extensions to <br /> neighborhoods in the vicinity of the current landfill. <br /> • October 21, 1997 - Board of County Commissioner's regular meeting. Board of <br /> County Commissioners discussed Landfill Neighbors' report on community benefits <br /> and County Attorney and County Staff review of benefits; discussed draft 8 of <br /> Interlocal Agreement. <br /> • October 22, 1997 -Assembly of Governments meeting. Governments discussed <br /> Landfill neighbors' proposed community benefits package, and conditions and <br /> process for agreement and adoption of the Interlocal Agreement. <br />
