The following topics are slated <br /> specifically for discussion at the October 30 work session: <br /> Chronology of Key Events Related to Proposed Interlocal Agreement <br /> Staff have prepared a brief chronology of events related to the development of the proposed <br /> interlocal agreement, beginning with the two "Solid Waste Summits" during Fall 1996, through the <br /> most recent Assembly of Governments meeting. Copies of minutes, or extracts from minutes, of <br /> some of the key meetings on the timeline are included for historical reference. <br /> Landfill Enterprise Fund Financial Condition <br /> County Finance Director Ken Chavious has consulted with Chapel Hill Town staff, and has <br /> reviewed the audit of the 1996-97 Landfill Fund activities (part of the audit of all Town of Chapel <br /> Hill financial operations, which is near completion). As indicated in his memo with attachments, <br /> the Landfill Fund is in sound financial condition. The Finance Director will be available to <br /> comment on the information provided. County staff are working with Chapel Hill Town staff on <br /> additional specifics regarding programmed future uses of landfill reserve funds, and will provide <br /> this information as it becomes available. <br />
