Highway 86 to the I-40/Old N.C. 86 <br /> interchange, the approximate center of the District, would cost approximately $156,250 <br /> 5150.000.. This cost includes 5-,003.0 _0 linear feet of 12-inch ductile iron water line <br /> at$2-5-S-4.Q per linear foot plus contingencies and engineering costs(25%). Longer term, <br /> the Town of Hillsborough's Water Distribution System Plan calls for the extension of <br /> the 12-inch water main from the interchange due east to N.C. Highway 86. The Plan <br /> called for construction of a 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank on the western <br /> border of the District. The Town was able to_purchase rp operty at a higher elevation <br /> west of the District for the tank construction. Construction of the tank began in <br /> ran„ - 1997- and should he completed by the end of 1997. It will hold 750,000 <br /> gallon..- <br /> Sewage Disposal. The Town of Hillsborough is extending an 18-inch gravity sewer <br /> line along Cates Creek to near the north side of I-85. In addle en to a 12 <br /> 12-inch gravity sewer line is being-has beef <br /> extended up a tributary of Cates Creek to serve the Wildwood Subdivision.
