Passmore <br /> Vehicle Lease <br /> Driver Assignment TELEPHONE NUMBER <br /> Taxi Provider Hillsborough 732-8181 <br /> Chapel Hill 968-4501 <br /> Mebane 227-2031 <br /> Durham 688-7331 <br /> ----------------------------------------------------------------------- <br /> PURPOSE: <br /> To request approval of annual Orange Public Transportation <br /> (OPT) agreements for (1) Vehicle lease with OPC Mental Health, <br /> Orange Enterprises, Wake Opportunities Head Start, Orange <br /> County Schools, and Cedar Grove Day Care; (2) Driver <br /> assignment with OPC Mental Health, Orange Enterprises, <br /> Orange County Schools, and Wake Opportunities Head Start; <br /> and (3) Taxi provider with Airport and Intown Taxi, <br /> Canaday Cab, Eagle Cab, and Tarheel Taxi. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> The Orange County Transportation Development Plan, updated in <br /> 1995, outlines the types of client transportation to be <br /> provided and the human service agencies that will participate <br /> in the coordinated transportation system. The annual renewal <br /> Agreements specify the vehicle assignments, the per-mile rate <br /> charge, and the driver cost-per-hour. The Human Services <br /> Transportation Board endorsed the current rate schedule as <br /> follows : <br /> 14 passenger van $ . 40/mile <br /> 24-20 passenger bus $ . 45/mile <br /> 32 passenger bus $ .55/mile <br /> Charter driver lease $11 . 00/hour <br />
