Article 2.4 of the EDO Design Manual(Environmental Factors)includes sections on water supply and 5 sewage disposal for each District Text pertaining to the 1-40/01d NC 86 District has not been amended since R was 6 originally adopted The text includes descriptions of planned water and sewer extensions, including scheduled 7 completion dates. The completion dates referenced in the Design Manual have passed. The proposed amendment 8 updates the status of these improvements. 9 10 C MMENTS ANMR QUESSMNS FROM THE BOARD OF COMMMSIONERS 11 12 Commissioner Gordon asked why the cost of extending the sewer main was included in this information. 13 Mary Whit indicated that thOy were included simply because they were included in the original document. 14 15 Commissioner Halkiotis asked if the 500,000 gallon elevated water storage tank mentioned in this 16 information was currently under construction. The Permitted Use Table in the ED Design 36 Manual categorizes permitted land uses according to the Standard Industrial Ctassfiatlon Manual(SIC)prepared 37 by the Federal Office of Budget and Management. Using the SIC allows staff to mote clearly determine the land use 38 category mb which a specific proposed use would faN to determine whether or not that use is allowed. The 39 following SIC categories are used in the EDO Design Manual• ResidenW Agricultural, Forestry and Fishing. 40 Construction,Manufacturing.Assembly and Processing,Transportation.Communication and Utilities.Finance, 41 Insurance and Reel Estate.Services.Govenunent. The Design Manual includes various tables and text which 42 specify the standards appl cW*to various land uses. However,the land uses tided in some of the tables do not 43 correspond with the tam uses fisted in the Permilted Use Table. It can be difficult to determine the category into 44 which a proposed use taps for the purpose of deWn**v whether or not it is allowed In a spmfic EDO. and which 45 standards should be applied. 46 47 48 49 Commissioner Gordon asked that this intbrmefion be presented to show a fine by fine comparison.
