Pursuant to the Local Government Bond Act, and in <br /> accordance with the adopted timetable for the bond referendum, a public hearing is required in order <br /> to provide the opportunity for any citizen who wishes to be heard on the questions of the,validity of <br /> the bond orders and the advisability of issuing the bonds. <br /> Subsequent to the completion of the public hearing,the Board must take final action to adopt the <br /> bond orders and officially call for the referendum as part of the November 4 election. These <br /> actions may be completed at either the meeting scheduled for August 25 (after the joint public <br /> hearing with the Planning Board), or at the regular meeting scheduled for September 2. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board conduct the public <br /> hearing. <br />
