In order to expedite the work, ensuring the courts were open <br /> for use by August 1, 1997, the Board authorized the Purchasing Director to award the <br /> bid provided the lowest responsible bid was less than $90,000 and report results at the <br /> next Board meeting. The results are as follows: <br /> • Two bids were received in the amounts of $80,059.50 and $129,209.00; <br /> • Award was made to B & M Sealcoating, Inc., the lowest responsible bidder in the <br /> amount of $80,059.50. <br /> • The work included both court repairs/resurfacing and sidewalk construction. As of <br /> the date of the meeting the court repairs are to be completed and are likely already <br /> in use. The sidewalk work will be completed shortly thereafter. <br /> • The County share of the work is $40,029.75. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Manager recommends that the Board receive as <br /> information and for inclusion in the meeting minutes. <br />
