45 <br /> Jail and Courthouse Addition Project <br /> Capital Project Ordinance <br /> Project Number 61-420 <br /> Be it ordained by the Orange County Board of County Commissioners that pursuant to Section 13.2 of <br /> Chapter 159 of the General Statutes of North Carolina, the following capital project is hereby adopted. <br /> Section 1. The project a authorized will provide funds to construct an addition to the existing jail and <br /> an additional Superior courtroom for the New Courthouse. This project will be financed <br /> by proceeds from the County's portion of the one half cent sales tax, a federal grant from <br /> the U.S. Marshals Office, and private placement funding. <br /> Section 2. The officers of the County are hereby directed to proceed with the project within the <br /> budget contained herein. <br /> Section 3. The following revenue is anticipated to complete this project: <br /> Transfer from Jail Addition Project(1995-96) $2,000,000 <br /> Transfer from New Courthouse Capital Project(1995-96) $507,104 <br /> Transfer from General Fund(1997-98) $151,387 <br /> Total Transfers $2,658,491 <br /> Private Placement(1995-96) $1,200,000 <br /> Capital Fund Balance(1997-98) $173,613 <br /> Total Revenue $4,032,104 <br /> Section 4. The following amount is appropriated for this project: <br /> Jail/Courthouse Addition Project $4,032,104 <br /> Section 5. This ordinance supersedes all previous jail and Courthouse Addition Capital Project <br /> Ordinances. <br /> Section 6.
