5 <br /> additional efforts will be made to recruit student members from the community --churches, family <br /> resource centers, neighborhood associations, and other youth-involved organizations. <br /> Leadership for the Youth Council is another critical component. The officers and committee <br /> chairs will have to be committed to the Council and available to provide guidance and direction, <br /> especially during the formative years. Although interested representatives from the high schools <br /> have worked diligently during the last few months, officers will not be elected until the forthcoming <br /> school year. <br /> Even though the Youth Council will be youth-run and operated,there will be adult support <br /> provided by an Advisory Board. This board will provide the administrative oversight and support <br /> needed to develop and implement the projects and programs of the Youth Council.
