On June 2, 1997, the Board of Commissioners approved the Smart Start Grant to the <br /> Health Department for this service. The attached Agreement is a subcontract with the School of <br /> Dentistry to conduct their portion of the service. <br /> This dental program for young children helps to assure that children will reach school age, <br /> "healthy and ready to learn." <br /> Recommendation: <br /> The Manager recommends that the contract be approved and the Chair be authorized to sign. <br />
