Focus on form and content ofmaterials places emphasis on <br /> secaration of recyclables and soiid waste prior to delivery to the appropriate faciar, and that the <br /> modz1method of collection and deiivery is not a priority at this time. <br /> '1 The BOCC recommended that the County's waste reduction and recycling program <br /> concentrate on reducing and recycling materials (such as those described below) that will provide <br /> the greatest impact on waste reduction at the landfill. According to waste characterisation studies <br /> at Orange Rev:onal Landfill and stall recyciing data(set arzached chart), recyclinC and diversion <br /> of the following materials constitutes the greatest opportuniry for mixed solid waste reduction <br /> (excluding constructionidemolition debris and ash) at the landfill. <br /> a. Commercial waste sector - commercially-generated mixed paper, old corrugated <br /> cardboard (OCC), and old newspaper(ONP). <br /> b. Singie-family and multi-family residential sectors - mixed paper. <br /> The Board of Commissioners did not take action on processing options pending information on <br /> alternatives.
