2 <br /> classification and pay study of the property mapping and related <br /> positions in Land Records. <br /> Personnel received updated position descriptions for each of the <br /> four positions involved and has completed this review. Based on <br /> the classification study and review of available labor market <br /> information, Personnel has identified the following position <br /> classification changes within the existing Orange County <br /> Classification and Pay Plan: <br /> • One Property Mapper II position currently at Salary Grade 64 <br /> will be reclassified to the already existing class of GIS <br /> Mapper 1, still at Salary Grade 64. <br /> • One Property Mapper I position at Salary Grade 62 also will <br /> be reclassified to an existing class of GIS Mapper I at Salary <br /> Grade 64. <br /> In addition, Personnel is recommending that: <br /> • One Property Mapper II position at Salary Grade 64 be <br /> reclassified to a new class of GIS Mapper 11 at Salary Grade <br /> 66. <br /> • One Appraisal Technician position at Salary Grade 63 be <br /> reclassified to the new class of GIS Assistant, still at Salary <br /> Grade 63. <br /> The GIS Mapper II level is recommended to recognize the higher <br /> level of technical complexity involved in: <br /> • Creating customized GIS maps using advanced computer <br /> functions; <br /> • Working with data bases and performing data analyses; <br /> • Troubleshooting and resolving GIS mapping problems which <br /> may occur. <br /> The GIS Assistant class recognizes a range of duties in <br /> preparing information for GIS mapping. These include reviewing <br /> maps, documents and computer reports to complete information <br /> for mapping and researching areas needing adjustment or <br /> revision. <br />
