John Smith,Jr. was appointed as Orange County Tax Assessor in August 1996 to <br /> complete the unexpired term of Kermit Lloyd. Mr. Smith's appointment expires on June 30, 1997. <br /> Orange County's practice has been to make appointments to the office of Tax Assessor for two year <br /> terms. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board reappoint John Smith, Jr. <br /> as Orange County Tax Assessor for a period of two years, effective July 1, 1997. <br />
