58 <br /> PROPOSED ORDINANCE AMENDMENT <br /> (DRAFT] <br /> REFERENCE: ZONING ORDINANCE <br /> Article 10.3 Off-Street Parking Design Standards <br /> ORIGIN OF AMENDMENT: Staff Planning Board <br /> BOCC Public <br /> Other: <br /> EXPECTED PUBLIC HEARING DATE: May 27, 1997 <br /> Purpose of Amendment: To correct a discrepancy in the Zoning Ordinance between Article 10, <br /> Off-Street Parking and Loading, and Article 12,Landscaping and Buffer Requirements. <br /> Impacts/Issues: Article 10 of the Zoning Ordinance contains the design standards for oil-street <br /> parking and loading. The setback required between new parking areas and side and rear property <br /> lines is five(5)feet. Article 12.4.1 c requires a ten-foot landscape area between new parking and all <br /> property lines for nonresidential and multi-family residential development. The proposed <br /> amendment will correct the conflicting requirements by increasing the setback in Article 10 to ten <br /> feet. <br /> Existing and proposed ordinance text:(Proposed text is underlined) <br /> Article 10.3 Off-Street Parking Design Standards <br /> All required off-street parking shall meet the following requirements: <br /> i) New parking areas shall observe a 10-foot setback from all road right-of-way and a <br /> —5 feet Seth from all side and rear property lines.
