<br /> "Board" means the Orange County Board of Commissioners .
<br /> "Charitable Organization" means an organization that has a
<br /> humane, philanthropic or benevolent purpose, including
<br /> environmental, health, educational, humane, patriotic,
<br /> scientific, artistic, social welfare, and civic, whose activities
<br /> benefit humanity or a significant rather than limited segment of
<br /> the community without expectation of pecuniary profit or reward
<br /> and is exempt from taxation under either G.S. 5105-130. 11(a) (3)
<br /> or G.S. 5105-130. 11(a) (5) or Section 501(c) (3) of the Internal
<br /> Revenue Code as amended.
<br /> "County" shall mean Orange County, North Carolina.
<br /> "County Manager" shall mean the Orange County Manager or any
<br /> of his or her designees.
<br /> "County facilities" or "County property" shall mean any and
<br /> all real property now or hereafter owned, leased as lessee,
<br /> operated, occupied, managed or controlled by the County for any
<br /> purpose, except for purposes of Article VII it shall not include
<br /> any facility or property used or operated by the Orange County
<br /> Department of Animal Control, including, but not limited to, the
<br /> Orange County Animal Shelter or any other facility operated for
<br /> the restraint, care, adoption, and disposition of animals.
