Martin <br /> regarding State funding for rabies control. <br /> Purpose: <br /> To update the Commissioners on the rabies epidemic in Orange County. <br /> Background: <br /> At the Board of Commissioners meeting on April 1, 1997, Commissioner Brown asked for an <br /> update of the rabies epidemic in Orange County. She also asked whether funding at the state level <br /> was sufficient to meet the needs of the epidemic and whether the Board of Commissioners could <br /> write a letter to legislators asking them to fund the appropriate state agency that could help with <br /> the epidemic. The Health Director and Animal Control Director will present the attached <br /> information at the Board meeting of April 16, 1997. <br />
