Volume Based Fees <br /> 0 Confirmation on support of Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) <br /> 0 Confirmation on support of mulching facility to handle yard and wood waste. <br /> 0 County position on Universal Recycling Collection- all sectors <br /> The BOCC has previously provided the following feedback recommendations on the Integrated <br /> Solid Waste Management Plan. <br /> June 26, 1996 Regular BOCC meeting recommendations: <br /> Incorporate all five waste reduction measures - <br /> 1. Differential Landfill Fees <br /> 2. Public Education <br /> 3. Non Economic Incentives <br /> 4. Collection Bans <br /> 5. Volume Based Fees <br /> => Pursue some forms of pay-as-you-throw for solid waste disposal -not to include recyclables. <br /> => Concentrate on form and content of materials delivered to a material recovery facility MRF <br /> or landfill not means of delivery or collection. <br /> Concentrate recycling programs and materials to be recycled on materials that will yield <br /> largest overall waste reduction. <br />
