All local governments are required by the State to have an <br /> adopted solid waste plan in place by July 1, 1997. <br /> On February 19, 1997, the LOG adopted a resolution requesting that each of the four governing <br /> boards schedule a public hearing for 7:00pm on May 22, 1997 at Stanback Middle School. This <br /> public hearing would meet the statutory requirements for a public hearing prior to adoption of local <br /> solid waste management plans, and would afford citizens an opportunity to comment on the <br /> integrated plan being developed jointly by the four local governments. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The manager recommends that the Board adopt the attached <br /> resolution. <br />
