Selection is based on,at a <br /> minimum, a Tier I level risk assessment developed by the <br /> Water and Environment Research Foundation(WERF)or <br /> equivalent U.S. Environmental Protection Agency approved <br /> protocols; <br /> (9)A pesticide safety program including storage,handling, <br /> disposal,and application considerations. <br /> (a) In accordance with the Federal Insecticide,Fungicide,and <br /> Rodenticide Act and the Resource Conservation and <br /> Recovery Act,all pesticides must be applied and disposed <br /> of in a manner consistent with the instructions on the <br /> product label;and <br /> (b)Notice must be posted in several conspicuous locations on <br /> the site to advise,in advance if possible,of the date,time, <br /> specific location,chemical,and rate of application each <br /> time a chemical is applied anywhere in the landscape;and <br /> (1 Q)A spill prevention and response plan for containment of <br /> pesticides and other chemicals. <br /> b. Best Management Practices (BMP'S)for Maintenance <br /> As part of the Resources Management Plan,the applicant shall submit a plan <br /> to establish best management practices(BMP's)for the golf course and <br /> maintenance facilities which shall include the following: <br /> (1)Isolate potential contaminants from the soil and water during <br /> delivery, storage and use of such contaminants at the golf <br /> course; <br /> (2)Do not discharge any material other than clean stormwater onto <br /> the ground; <br /> (3) Pesticide storage shall be in a separate room or building designated for <br /> these materials only. The building shall have an appropriate <br /> containment and collection system that will allow chemicals and or <br /> water to be recycled; <br />
