18 <br /> • <br /> Page 4 <br /> Goal #rVI—Coordination <br /> Provide support and a statewide framework for historic resources and local preservation <br /> programs. <br /> Objectives: <br /> A. Provide opportunities for preservation, conservation/environmental, educational, and <br /> other interested or affected agencies, organizations, or individuals to build partnerships <br /> and communication. <br /> B. Foster communication among local preservation commissions to exchange information <br /> and strengthen their role in local planning and preservation issues. <br /> C. Facilitate coordination among local, state, and federal government agencies in <br /> preservation and in community and economic development. <br /> D. Support the advocacy efforts of historic preservation and archaeological organizations <br /> and revolving funds. <br /> E. Foster a multicultural approach to preservation that encourages alliances across racial <br /> and class lines. <br /> F. Recommend statewide policies and priorities for the expenditure of public funds to <br /> include historic properties and preservation. <br /> G. Maintain a professionally staffed and adequately funded HPO within the DCR to <br /> administer the state's historic preservation program. <br /> H.
