2.3.3 Dispatch Console — Operator Position <br /> The MCC 7500 Dispatch Console consists of a Motorola-certified tower PC with built-in LAN <br /> connection,a monitor,and the operator interface. <br /> The computer used in the MCC 7500 Dispatch Console Operator position uses the Microsoft® <br /> Windows Vista®Business edition Operating System and Motorola software to provide call processing <br /> services through a graphical user interface(GUI). <br /> The MCC 7500 Dispatch Console includes a suite of Application Programming Interfaces(APIs that <br /> may be used by third-party companies to interface Computer-Aided Dispatch(CAD)systems,Non- <br /> Motorola dispatch consoles,or other devices with the Motorola radio system. <br /> �I lif l;�l' 'P�I'�U9i'!hI IP^d <br /> Figure 2-3:Dispatch Operator Position <br /> 2.3.4 Voice Processor Module (VPM) <br /> The Voice Processor Module(VPM)is a device that combines the functions of a voice card, <br /> encryption card,and a general purpose input/output module in an MCC 7500 Console subsystem.The <br /> VPM provides the necessary interfaces to connect analog devices to the MCC 7500 digital console <br /> and it is responsible for audio routing between the dispatch operator,peripherals,and the local <br /> network.
