Commissioner Dorosin — none <br /> Commissioner McKee said he and Commissioner Price attended the opening of the <br /> Walnut Grove Solid Waste Convenience Center today. He said this is a very nice facility and <br /> is open for use. <br /> Commissioner Gordon reported on the meeting of the Transportation Advisory <br /> Committee of the DCHC MPO. She said the Metropolitan Transportation Plan had been <br /> approved last time and the second part of the long range planning document is to adopt the Air <br /> Quality Conformity portion. She said these two documents are necessary for long range <br /> planning. <br /> Commissioner Price said she, Chair Jacobs and Commissioner Pelissier had put their <br /> names on a beam at the new hospital in Hillsborough. <br /> Commissioner Rich — none <br /> Chair Jacobs said that Commissioner Pelissier had petitioned that the Board meet with <br /> Alamance County and this has been postponed until after the budget season at Alamance <br /> County's request. He said there will be a meeting with the Durham City Mayor and Manager <br /> on May 15 and the Clerk has circulated a draft agenda. He welcomed suggestions. <br /> Chair Jacobs said there was a meeting last week with staff and Triangle Transit and <br /> Craig Benedict took notes that will be shared later. He said Triangle Transit was invited to the <br /> May 21St BOCC meeting to give the Board an update report. <br /> Chair Jacobs met with the Mayors of the three towns to talk about recycling and all <br /> three affirmed interest in being part of the same system through the 2013-14 fiscal year. <br /> Mayor Kleinschmidt said that Chapel Hill will still finish an independent investigation before <br /> deciding to proceed. Mayor Kleinschmidt expressed the hope that the County would <br /> implement roller carts and this will be addressed at the next CIP meeting to see if there is state <br /> grant money available for this. <br /> Chair Jacobs said he sent an email today regarding the Carrboro Library and his <br /> meeting with a representative of the developer. He invited the representative to come to the <br /> work session next week. <br /> 13.
