Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitors Bureau —Appointments <br /> The Board considered making appointments to the Chapel Hill/Orange County Visitor's <br /> Bureau. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Price to <br /> appoint <br /> • Appointment to a first term for Mr. Gene Pease. If appointed, Mr. Pease will be serving <br /> a first term ending 12/31/2015 representing the Town of Chapel Hill. <br /> • Appointment to a second term for Ms. Laura Hayes Morgan. If appointed, Ms. Morgan <br /> will be serving a second full term ending 12/31/2015 representing UNC. <br /> • Appointment to a second term for Mr. Anthony Carey. If appointed, Mr. Carey will be <br /> serving a second full term ending 12/31/2015 representing the Orange County Lodging <br /> Association. <br /> • Appointment to a first term for Mr. Jack Schmidt. If appointed, Mr. Schmidt will be <br /> serving a first full term ending 12/31/2015 representing the Orange County Lodging <br /> Association. <br /> • Appointment to a first term for Mr. Gordon Jameson. (Ex-officio) <br /> • Appointment to a first term for Ms. Meg McGurk. If appointed, Mr. Pavao will be serving a <br /> first partial term ending 12/31/2015 as an at-large representative. <br /> Commissioner Dorosin said there are no persons of color on this board and that the <br /> Commissioners needed to ask Laurie Paolicelli to commit to reaching out to increase racial and <br /> ethnic diversity on the Visitor's Bureau board. <br /> Chair Jacobs agreed and said this request should be made to the Visitor's Bureau and <br /> its partner entities. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> C. c.
