Rationale. public route serves downtown Hillsborough <br /> Triangle SportsPlex, Chapel Hill North Shopping Center, <br /> downtown Chapel Hill, and UNC Hospital. <br /> ii. Type: Mid-day service <br /> iii. Funding- OPT 12% Share <br /> iv. Annual Existing Service and Cost by OPT: 3 hours/day, <br /> Monday thru Friday, 250 days per year, hours of operation <br /> from 10:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.-2:30 p.m. at a <br /> cost of$43,500 (750 operational hours at $58/hr.) (3 hours x <br /> 250 days x $58/hr. _ $43,500) <br /> OR <br /> b. Enhanced (Expanded) 420 Route from Hillsborough to Chapel Hill <br /> i. Rationale: To supplement the two current route times that <br /> we have in order to accommodate a greater number of riders <br /> more frequently. <br /> ii. Type: Mid-day service <br /> iii. Funding- OPT 12% Share <br /> iv. Annual Enhanced (Expanded) Route Option Service and <br /> Cost by OPT: Service hours would be expanded to add an <br /> additional two round trips, 3 hours of service/day, from 8:30 <br /> a.m. — 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. — 4:00 p.m. The expanded <br /> route hours would provide a more continuous service along <br /> the 420 route, with TTA providing peak hours service from <br /> 6:00 a.m. — 8:30 a.m. and 4:25 p.m. — 6:25 p.m. (3 hours x <br /> 250 days x $58/r. _ $43,500) <br />
