104 <br />5. The facility (new or retrofitted old) should be able to accommodate: <br />a. Family reunions <br />b. Community meetings <br />c. Stage for performances /speakers <br />d. Kitchen (warming /catering kitchen) <br />e. Rooms that can be used for classes <br />f. Room(s) that can be used for summer camps <br />g. Room(s) for games and indoor athletics (basketball of some sort) <br />6. Members attending unanimously said they would use a facility such as the <br />one described herein <br />Moderate Opinion (generally 2:1 to 3:1) <br />1. If a new building with warming kitchen, an exterior window for use as <br />concessions, etc (2:1 in favor) <br />2. Most attendees thought a park- and -ride lot at the facility was a good idea <br />(just under 3:1 in favor) <br />Dot - Voting — Intensity of Preference <br />As attendees left, they were given five red dots to place on the list of questions to <br />indicate their interest level. Cumulative voting was allowed. <br />However, this exercise, because of the way questions were phrased and voting <br />conducted, served more as a measure of the intensity of feeling about the <br />issues /questions. <br />Ranked from Most - Intensive Response to Least - Intensive <br />1. Keep cafeteria and gym (middle of structure) and retrofit /improve (27) <br />2. A new building should accommodate family reunions and community <br />meetings (16) <br />3. Build a new structure to replace the 1952 building (13) <br />4. Not opposed to a cell tower to improve reception (10) <br />5. A new building should be an enclosed structure (9) <br />6. Have a kitchen that has exterior window for concessions (8) <br />7. New building should have space for classes of various types (7) <br />8. New building should have space for summer camps (6) <br />9. New building should have a warming kitchen, and a stage (5 each) <br />10. New building should be located in same spot on site, and old building should <br />be memorialized (2 each) <br />3 The question about the cell tower has been thrown out since it asked a negative, and it is <br />not clear whether voters were expressing favor or disfavor). <br />
