During the public hearing the following questions/comments were <br /> made: <br /> 1. A Planning Board member asked if the County should be concerned <br /> with the actual language contained within Session Law 2012-108 <br /> prior to taking action on the proposed map amendments. <br /> Specifically a concern was expressed over the use of `historic' in <br /> Section1 of the law when, technically, this was not the proper word <br /> choice to convey the intended meaning. <br /> Staff response: Session Law 2012-108 was adopted on June 28, <br /> 2012. Regardless of concerns over word choice, the legality of the <br /> Orange-Alamance boundary line re-alignment is not in question and <br /> the County can proceed with the rezoning action as presented by <br /> staff. <br /> 4 <br />
