He said the board held a public hearing on April 17 with 45 people in the <br /> 3 audience and comments were generally in favor of moving forward with the fire service districts <br /> 4 as outlined. <br /> 5 He reviewed actions taken and said the town of Carrboro has agreed to provide service <br /> 6 in the South Orange Fire Insurance District, and Chapel Hill has agreed to provide service in <br /> 7 the greater Chapel Hill Service District. <br /> 8 He said the approval by the North Chatham Fire Department will likely come in the first <br /> 9 ten days of May and the maps for the insurance districts have been approved by the State Fire <br /> 10 Marshall's office, but it will take four to six months to gain approval for the change in the ISO <br /> 11 ratings to become effective.
