2 <br /> Home and Community Care Block Grant Funding <br /> Comparison for FY 1997-98 and FY 1998-99 <br /> Programs Grant Funding Proposed Block <br /> FY 1997-98 Grant Funding <br /> FY 1998-99 <br /> JOCCA <br /> Congregate Nutrition $1 02,735 $1 02,735 <br /> JOCCA has six Congregate Meal Sites located in Orange <br /> County. In 1996, over 42,000 meals were served to 450 <br /> participants. A site manger is located at each site and is <br /> responsible for the daily operation of nutrition programs and <br /> meals. There are also three coordinators of services responsible <br /> for the coordination, outreach, referral and provision of services <br /> to low-income families and individuals. These services include, <br /> but are not limited to weatherization,housing rehabilitation <br /> assistance, financial emergency assistance, Older Workers <br /> Program, and information and referral. <br /> In-Home Aide Services $28,024 $349477 <br /> Home and Community Block Grant enables low-income, <br /> minority individuals to defer or prevent institutionalization by <br /> providing quality services to meet basic needs. These services <br /> include the performance of essential home management and <br /> personal care tasks rendered under guidance and supervision. <br /> AGING <br /> Senior Center Operations $56,777 $55,777 <br /> Grant funds pay a portion of the salaries of the Facility <br /> Managers at the four multi-purpose Senior Centers operated by <br /> the Department on Aging. <br /> Transportation $34,515 $349515 <br /> Daily Fixed route transportation is provided for seniors to <br /> attend activities at the four Centers and two community centers <br /> that house the JOCCA Nutrition Programs sites in Orange <br /> County. <br />
