In lieu of a survey and research <br /> report, I have enclosed the National Register of Historic Places Registration Form. I have also <br /> enclosed current photographs of the house and a vicinity map showing the location of Moorefields. <br /> The description of Moorefields contained in the Registration Form, dated January 1972, is an <br /> accurate depiction of the site today; however, a few minor changes have been made to the house <br /> since the National Register nomination. An entrance door on the east facade of the east wing was <br /> removed, and two six-over-nine windows were added. The chimney at the junction of the main <br /> block and east wing was replaced. Moorefields is well-maintained by the current owners,under the <br /> supervisor of a site manager.
