K <br />3) Two (2) agencies are recommended for funding reductions: PreTrial Services and the Joint <br />Orange and Chatham Community Action (JOCCA) programs. <br />FY 2012 -13 FY 2013 -14 <br />Outside Agency Approved Recommended <br />PreTrial Services $110,000 $95,000 The $15,000 operations reduction is offset by <br />County- donated office space, within the <br />Sheriffs Department, and utility and phone <br />service payments. <br />JOCCA $20,000 - The agency's initial allocation of $80,000, in <br />FY 2009 -10, has decreased by $20,000 <br />annually, for the last three fiscal years. <br />This "step- down" approach has gradually <br />eliminated General Fund support due the <br />agency's high administrative versus direct <br />services costs, to County residents. <br />*Note: PreTrial Services' $110,000 allocation includes a $70,000 allocation, in the FY 2012 -13 Approved Budget, <br />and an additional $40,000 BOCC appropriation, approved in October 2012. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: FY 2013 -14 Manager's Recommended Budget, for Outside Agencies, <br />totals $1,030,100, an $8,600 reduction from FY 2012 -13. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br />consider the Outside Agency recommendations and provide direction for staff. <br />
