In accordance with the annual <br /> budget ordinance, funds for these outstanding purchase orders are automatically re- <br /> appropriated in the new fiscal year's budget. Other appropriations are not fully expended <br /> at the end of the fiscal year because there.are no outstanding purchase. orders. Funds <br /> for these planned but unencumbered expenditures_are set aside as_a-reserved portion of <br /> fund balance. In order to carry these funds forward and to authorize their expenditure in <br /> fiscal year 1999-00, it is necessary for the Board to approve the attached amendment. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impacts are included in the background information above. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board of County Commissioners <br /> approve the budget ordinance amendments. <br />
