I am currently <br />a Professor in the Department of Pathology at Duke University Medical Center. My <br />laboratory performs research to develop vaccines that may be administered using a <br />nasal spray, instead of a needle. <br />Volunteer Experience: I serve on various committees within Duke that are not part of my <br />compensation. I serve on committees that make decisions regarding human resources <br />issues, the use of animals in research and I serve on two faculty committees that work <br />with the School of Medicine Administration on policy making. <br />Education: I have an earned Ph.D. degree (1993) in Microbiology and Immunology. <br />Other Comments: <br />have owned property in the Cedar Grove area since 2003. 1 am interested in serving <br />on the Planning Board since the Cedar Grove area is likely to experience growth in the <br />near future.
