NO.: FILE NO.: A -1.0 <br />Dear Jeff: <br />We are pleased to provide this proposal for Architectural and Engineering design services <br />associated with the rehabilitation of the two existing classroom wings at the Northern Human <br />Services Center project. <br />Project Scope <br />MBAJ Architecture will provide architectural and engineering design services for rehabilitation of <br />the two existing classroom wings at the Northern Human Services Center. The initial scope of <br />services will include programming, renovation scope exploration and concept development to <br />determine the appropriate use and approach for the rehabilitation of the wings. MBAJ will work <br />collaboratively, utilizing a round table format, to gather input from the project committee. The <br />Committee input will be used to develop three possible approaches to the rehabilitation <br />(mothballing, open air uses and full use redevelopment). MBAJ will develop each of these <br />approaches through the Programming and Schematic Design phases and prepare estimates of <br />probable cost. MBAJ will document and present each option to the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners for their consideration. Upon the receipt of a written notice to proceed, <br />documenting the approved project approach, MBAJ will complete the development of project in <br />the traditional phases of Design Development, Construction Documents, Bidding and <br />Construction Administration. <br />MBAJ will engage independent engineering consultants to provide Plumbing, Mechanical, <br />Electrical and Technology design for the approved facility renovation scope. <br />Proposed A/E Fees for Additional Scope <br />Based upon the above outlined scope of professional services, and the terms of the Orange <br />County Professional Services Agreement, MBAJ proposes the following schedule of lump sum <br />fees: <br />Programming and Schematic Design $40,800 <br />(Three Options) <br />M: \PROSPECT - CLIENT\Civic - Governmental \North Carolina\ County \Orange\ Proposals \20130516jft_Additional <br />Scope Fee Proposal.docx <br />
