M., <br />New/ improved early morning/ evening service —the ability to accommodate trips earlier and <br />later in the day was an item of concern for workshop participants <br />Mobility manager —this would improve customer service and provide better information to <br />riders, as well as helping coordinate with services <br />• Increased visibility /marketing/education —this was highlighted as an important need <br />• Changes to institutional policy —an example that was quoted by several workshop attendees <br />was the fact that OFF cannot transport people who are eligible for Medicaid but not yet <br />enrolled, and without providing that transportation it is difficult for these people to get enrolled <br />Two additional strategies that received a great deal of attention during the workshop were suggested by <br />participants: increasing the amount of funding available for transit, and connecting with churches, <br />neighborhood groups and others to identify remote locations that could be used as rural collection <br />points/ park and ride lots. <br />The results of the workshop are generally in line with the results of the survey. The survey identified the <br />highest needs in Grange County as: expansion of the amount of public transportation service available; <br />serving areas of the county that are currently underserved; providing door -to -door service to the elderly <br />and disabled; improving education on available services, programs, and eligibility requirements, and <br />better communicating transit information to the public. <br />Triangle Area FFO Locally Coordinated Human Service Transportation Ran 58 <br />
