Year-To-Date Budget <br /> Summary <br /> PURPOSE: To approve budget amendments and a grant project ordinance for fiscal year 2012- <br /> 13. <br /> BACKGROUND: <br /> Department of Environment, Agriculture, Parks and Recreation (DEAPR) <br /> 1. DEAPR has received an additional $6,383 in revenues from charges and fees. Staff <br /> will use Athletics and Recreation fees, totaling $5,383, for Recreation seasonal staff <br /> coverage. The remaining $1,000, from Athletic rentals, will fund restroom supplies at <br /> Eurosport Soccer Center. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of these <br /> additional funds. (See Attachment 1, column 1) <br /> Department of Social Services <br /> 2. The Department of Social Services has received additional State revenue for the <br /> Work First Block Grant totaling $192,654. The funds will subsidize day care services <br /> for Orange County residents. This budget amendment provides for the receipt of <br /> these additional funds. (See Attachment 1, column 2) <br /> Cooperative Extension <br /> 3. Cooperative Extension has received additional revenue of $150 from the NC <br /> Agriculture Foundation, Inc. and $510 from additional class fees, for a total of$660. <br /> The funds will be used to help offset honorariums for speakers at this years PLANT <br /> @ Breeze training classes and the cost of facilities rentals.
