NOW, THEREFORE, we, the Board of County Commissioners of Orange County, <br /> North Carolina, do proclaim April 2013 as FAIR HOUSING MONTH and commend this <br /> observance to all Orange County residents. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Price, seconded by Commissioner Dorosin to <br /> approve a proclamation designating April as Fair Housing Month 2013 and authorize the Chair <br /> to sign. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> b. Local Historic Landmark Designation for Captain John S. Pope Farm <br /> The Board was to consider and adopt an ordinance to designate the Captain John S. <br /> Pope Farm in Cedar Grove as an Orange County Local Historic Landmark and authorize the <br /> Chair to sign. <br /> DEFERRED <br /> C. Voluntary and Enhanced Agricultural District Designation — Multiple Farms — <br /> Green, Ward, Pope, Walters <br /> The Board was to consider applications from multiple landowners/farms to certify <br /> qualifying farmland within the Cedar Grove, Cane Creek-Buckhorn, High Rock/Efland, and <br /> Caldwell Voluntary Agricultural Districts, and to enroll the lands in the Orange County <br /> Voluntary Agricultural District (VAD) and the Enhanced Voluntary Agriculture District (EVAD) <br /> programs. <br /> DEFERRED <br /> 5. Consent Agenda <br /> Approval of Remaining Consent Agenda <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner McKee seconded by Commissioner Pelissier to <br /> approve the remaining items on the consent agenda. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> a. Minutes <br /> The Board approved the minutes from February 5, 21, and 25, 2013 as submitted by the Clerk <br /> to the Board. <br /> b. Motor Vehicle Property Tax Releases/Refunds <br /> The Board adopted a resolution, which is incorporated by reference, to release motor vehicle <br /> property tax values for forty-nine (49) taxpayers with a total of fifty-six (56) bills that will result <br /> in a reduction of revenue in accordance with NCGS. <br /> C.
