<br />Mission Statement
<br />The Orange County Board of Elections conducts all Federal, State, County, municipal, and
<br />special elections in accordance with the mandates set by Federal and State law and State
<br />Board of Elections policy. Our mission is to maintain the integrity of elections, ensure election
<br />results are accurate, and make the election process inclusive for all eligible voters.
<br />Major Services
<br />• Conduct Federal, State, county, municipal and special elections
<br />• Receive and process voter registration forms
<br />• Serve as the county source for information on election laws, rules and regulations
<br />• Receive candidate filings and issue certifications to elected officials
<br />• Receive, audit and post campaign finance reports
<br />• Recruit and train precinct officials
<br />• Secure polling places ensuring ADA compliant accessibility
<br />FY 2012 -13 Outcomes
<br />• Effectively and efficiently conducted all Elections held in Orange County
<br />• Successfully operated 5 early voting sites for the General Election with extended evening
<br />and Saturday voting hours
<br />• Recruited, trained and managed 46 seasonal staff members for our early voting sites
<br />• Prompt sorting and reported results of 54,229 ballots voted prior to Election Day by precinct
<br />• Rewrote election training manual and produced a training video used for precinct official
<br />training
<br />• Timely processed registrations received for accurate and up -to -date voter registration
