Asset Management Services - continued <br />Replacement of exterior doors at Whitted Center. <br />• Streamlined delivery of services through: consolidation of operations at West Campus Office <br />Building, establishment of stock on service vehicles, and at the Jail to reduce travel time. <br />Targeted reduction in $ /gross square footage (GSF) for repair and maintenance (R &M) <br />costs. <br />Training to increase knowledge and capabilities of staff to achieve efficiencies, positive <br />outcomes, individual confidence and professional growth. <br />Cross training for increased proficiency of staff in delivery of services. <br />Asset Management Services: Facilities Services Division <br />Major Services <br />• Routine cleaning of County and Court system occupied buildings (24 buildings comprising <br />299,074 cleanable square feet).2 <br />• Scheduled floor care (carpet cleaning, hard surface refinishing) for County and Court system <br />occupied buildings. <br />Supply management for spaces cleaned by Custodial Services. <br />• Set up and tear down for all County Commissioner events /meetings, including but not <br />limited to furnishings for the County Commissioners, audio visual and public address <br />equipment, seating for the public (approximately 52 meetings annually). <br />FY 2012 -13 Outcomes <br />• 150,000 square feet of carpet cleaned and tile refinished. <br />Asset Management Services: Fleet Services Division <br />Major Services <br />Maintain the County's fleet of over 300 vehicles, which includes: emergency response <br />vehicles, buses, vans, automobiles; and maintain more than 100 pieces of equipment such <br />as tractors, trailers, mowers, vehicle mounted chair lifts, animal cages and compressors and <br />14 emergency generators serving County facilities. <br />FY 2012 -13 Outcomes <br />Ensured the availability of vehicles and equipment for use when needed by County <br />departments. <br />• Completed the major task of recalling and re- issuing new required Government license <br />plates and registrations for all fixed assets within the County portfolio. <br />2 Excludes: SportsPlex, Sheriff Department facilities, Solid Waste facilities, DSS facilities.
