Revenue Comments - continued <br />Licenses All Other <br />and 99.8% <br />Licenses IM <br />Permits & Permits <br />0.2% <br />Privilege Licenses - These are taxes levied on various trades, occupations, professions, <br />businesses, or franchises located within the County. Revenue received from this source has <br />been relatively constant over the past few years. <br />Cable Television (CATV) Franchise — Cable television franchises are special privileges <br />granted by the County to engage in certain types of business. The revenues in this category are <br />fees received from the two cable television companies operating in the County. The County <br />receives 5 percent of the cable companies' gross profits. <br />Intergovernmental <br />Intergovernmental <br />7% <br />All Other <br />93% <br />Beer & Wine - Excise taxes on the sale of beer and unfortified wine at the wholesale level is <br />collected by the State. Approximately half of the total taxes collected are returned to the County. <br />An estimated $223,600 is budgeted for FY 2013 -14. <br />Aging and Coordinated Agency Transportation - This includes Title III B, Title III D, and <br />Community Transportation Program (Section 18) federal grants used to assist operations in the <br />County's Department on Aging Senior Center, Information and Referral, Personal Care Services <br />for Elderly and Disabled Clients (CHORE), Transportation, and Home keeper programs. <br />Social Services - Social Service programs are funded by a combination of Federal, State, and <br />local resources. The revenues listed in this category reflect the state and federal contributions <br />toward staff cost and operations for various programs within the Department. <br />N-V <br />
