Human Services - continued <br />The Arc of Orange County $4,000 <br />The Arc of Orange County works with and for people who either have or are at risk for <br />developmental disabilities to promote full participation in all areas of life in our community. <br />Triangle Radio Reading Service <br />M <br />This agency broadcasts local and national newspapers and periodicals to elderly, visually and <br />physically impaired, and handicapped residents of Orange County. The agency declined its <br />award for FY 2012 -13 and did not apply for funding in FY 2013 -14 <br />Triangle Residential Options for Substance Abusers ( TROSA) $0 <br />TROSA is a comprehensive, long -term, residential substance abuse recovery program located <br />in Durham, North Carolina. Founded in 1994, TROSA is now the largest state licensed <br />residential therapeutic community in North Carolina and is widely respected for its innovative <br />therapeutic and entrepreneurial approach to the pervasive issue of substance abuse. <br />Voices Together $5,000 <br />Voices Together is an Orange County -based non - profit that uses a specialized music therapy <br />approach to help people with intellectual and developmental disabilities speak, communicate <br />and express their thoughts, feelings and needs. The agency does this through groups in <br />classrooms that employ our proprietary model and by training teachers, parents, therapists and <br />caregivers in its methods and approach. <br />W.C. Breeze Family Farm $0 <br />These funds are budgeted for the W.C. Breeze Family Farm Agriculture Extension and <br />Research Facility. Historically, these funds have been paid out of Human Services Non - <br />Departmental, but the FY 2011 -12 Commissioner Approved budget moved these funds <br />($10,000) into Cooperative Extension's budget. <br />W.E,I <br />
