Community and Environment Non- Departmentals - continued <br />1. Supplement existing data on major ions, nutrients, and trace elements to enable <br />determination of long -term trends; <br />2. Examine differences in water quality among water supplies within the region, especially <br />differences among smaller upland sources, large multipurpose reservoirs, and run -of- <br />river supplies; <br />3. Provide tributary loading and in -lake data for predictive modeling of Falls and Jordan <br />Lakes; and <br />4. Establish a database for the presence of synthetic organic compounds in surface water <br />in the region. <br />Upper Neuse River Basin Dues $68,342 <br />These funds provide for Orange County to remain a member of the Upper Neuse River Basin <br />Association. Starting in FY 2013 -14, activities undertaken by the UNRBA over the next five to <br />ten years, to alter Stage II of the Falls Lake Rules, requires substantial increased funding in <br />comparison to previous years. <br />Mel <br />
